Bambach began manufacturing rail cables in 2013 mainly for ARTC related projects in the Newcastle region. Following a number of successful projects and further research, the company embarked on developing a full suite of railway power and signalling cables for all Australian states and applications. The cables developed formed the Bambach TrackSure and TrackSafe range of railway power and signalling cables, now found throughout Australia on projects such as Victorian level Crossing removals, the Kooragang Island Coal Loading Depot, upper and lower Hunter Coal Networks, JHR CRN rail network, Moorebank intermodal, Sydney Light Rail.

Bambach continues with its research and development in the railway power and signalling market recently introducing X90 sheathed cables to replace the traditional PVC sheathed cables common throughout the industry. Bambach undertook this product development working with ARTC in a bid to develop a more cost-effective and resilient product.

In 2016 Bambach moved to develop cables for rolling stock applications. Bambachs’ RailX branded LSOH rolling stock cables are the only Australian made rolling stock cables available on the market.
